Hospice assists by integrating compassionate care at home, in hospital or nursing homes, to meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Services include: In-home respite care, Bereavement Support Group or One on One Hospice Kingston arranges and provides community hospice supportive care services in Kingston and surrounding area. We are a not-for-profit organization that works closely with healthcare professionals and trained volunteers to complete the circle of care in your home, hospitals, long-term-care homes, retirement homes and palliative care units. Our care includes physical, psychological, social, spiritual and practical support so that you and your loved ones can live on your own terms. We deliver a wide range of supportive programs for people facing a life-limiting diagnosis and their families and care givers. We invite you to our Hospice centre to experience our programs and benefit from our advocacy, education and research services.

Bereavement support is offered for those in our community who have suffered a loss, Client Day program every Wednesday from 1-4pm, Transportation to and from medical appointments, Education/training /seminars, Volunteer training – 30-hour integrated training course with KGH and Providence Care’s St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital site, Resources and Lending Library.

James Reid is a full-service funeral home for prearrangement (before death) and at the time of death arrangements, including cremation and burial services. An After-Care Program, which includes family-after-care, offers individual and family support. Coordinators are available to provide short-term one-on-one grief support. Referrals are from from health and social agencies, nurses, physicians and clergy. Public education nights are held once a month in the reception centre of the funeral home for a presentation and reflection on grief-related topics. There is also a special event held annually at Christmas time entitled "Facing The Holidays".
